One of the hardest things about being an unpublished writer is not being able to talk about what you’re working on.
Okay, I can talk about what I’m working on but I can’t spill too much because I want to save the fun details for the future, when I’m ready to publish.
But I’d like share more about what I’m writing, so every month I’ll post an update without giving away any spoilers.
So, without further ado, here’s what I wrote in October 2022:
Started edits and abandoned edits for draft seven of book two of a series
I came up with a better plot, but realized pretty quickly into the new draft that it doesn’t work, so I’m leaving this one alone for awhile. Hopefully the right plot will come to me at some point.
Started draft one of a standalone and abandoned draft one of a standalone
This is another book that I’ve come up with a different plot for multiple times and each time I think I’ve found a good one, it turns out not to be so. I’m putting this one aside as well and hoping the right plot comes to me eventually.
Wrote draft twelve of book one of a three book series
I’m happy with how this one turned out and happy I finally finished something.
Wrote draft four of book two of a three book series
I had to fix both subplots in this one and I’m pleased with how they turned out.
Started the first draft of a new forced proximity standalone
I’m super excited about this book because I’ve never written a forced proximity trope before, and so far, it’s going well.
