What I Wrote in June 2022

One of the hardest things about being an unpublished writer is not being able to talk about what you’re working on.

Okay, I can talk about what I’m working on but I can’t spill too much because I want to save the fun details for the future, when I’m ready to publish.

But I’d like share more about what I’m writing, so every month I’ll post an update without giving away any spoilers.

So, without further ado, here’s what I wrote in June 2022:

-Finished draft six of another friends to lovers standalone I started working on last month

I’m very happy with how this draft turned out and shouldn’t have to make too many big changes for the next go-round. Hopefully this means I’ll be able to inch towards publications sooner rather than later.

-Wrote a novella for my newsletter sign-up

I wrote the first draft of a novella linked to the series I plan to release next year. This novella is going to be offered for free to anyone who plans to sign up for my newsletter (something I’ll start sending out in the fall).

-Started draft one of a new woke-up-married-in-Vegas standalone

I’m currently in the middle of the first draft of a new-to-me trope, the one where a hero and heroine wake up and discover they’ve gotten drunk and married each other in Vegas. To be honest, I’m typically not a huge fan of this trope in romance novels, so I challenged myself to come up with a plot and characters and write a book I would enjoy reading, and so far, I’m having a blast.

That’s all for now. See you next month with new updates!
