One of the hardest things about being an unpublished writer is not being able to talk about what you’re working on.
Okay, I can talk about what I’m working on but I can’t spill too much because I want to save the fun details for the future, when I’m ready to publish.
But I’d like share more about what I’m writing, so every month I’ll post an update without giving away any spoilers.
So, without further ado, here’s what I wrote in August 2022:
Finished edits for book one of the series I plan to release next year
The book is all edited and I sent it off to my proofreader. I’m so excited!
Finished draft one of a standalone friends to lovers
As I mentioned last month, I had to stop working on this one to work on my series I’m releasing next year, but I was able to get back to it and finish. I’m really happy with the story and can’t wait to go back and tackle draft two (though I have no idea when that will be, lol).
Finished edits for book two of the series I plan to release next year
This one was also sent to the proofreader as soon as I finished looking it over.
Started edits on book one of a dark romance duet
I say edits, but really I mean writing because I am using virtually nothing from the first draft of this book, which makes it feel like a first draft. I’ve never written a dark romance before and I was worried I’d have a hard time with it. My worries were on point because I am struggling a bit. However, the idea is one I’ve been mulling over for years, so hopefully with a lot of editing and polish, it will end up being published one day.
